Wicked! Design on the Edge of Bad Taste - 2011
J.C.Karich definitely don't intend their designs to trigger violent scenes at the breakfast table. It is all to be taken with an ironic twist. But, on the other hand...early monday morning. No hot water in the bathroom. Another letter from the internal revenue service. Your husband is glued to his newspaper, and you've found a strange strand of hair on his jacket. And then you see the cup. It fits the hand so well...

ARCHITECT Magazine P/A Award 2011
For the second year I've been asked to work with architect magazine to make the award object for the Progressive architecture award. For this award I designed a game set, the box contains solid aluminum building blocks, I like the fact that creative work in architecture has to be playful or at least you should be having fun when designing something...

TDW Preview - Canyon Stool
The Canyon stool, is a very simple yet sculptural piece of furniture, it made out of discs of solid wood, these discs are piled up increasing in diameter all the way up to the seat composed of 3 larger diameter discs, all the discs are mounted disaxed. This gives the stool a particular organic and sculptural shape.
This is the tall version of the stool, it will have a steel ring footrest. This project will be shown at the next Tokyo Design Week.
Prototype by T.Michon & V.Montant.

Silver Where? - New Flat Salad Set
This is a new and refreshed version of the flat salad set I designed a couple of years ago, this particular set is made of mirror plastic polystyren. The fact of being able to fold and unfold them is a pretty magic experience. This because once mounted they look exactly like silver but not. I've been looking for the right material choice for this set, though I have not fout the perfect material, flexible enough to fold and bend but strong enough to actually use. Next model will be made of film cardboard, hopefully they wont be wasted even if they are suppose to be one time use servers...
